Man rushed to hospital after suffering serious facial injuries in morning attack

Detectives at Clydebank are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Dumbarton on Tuesday (May 25).

Between 9am and 9.20am on Tuesday morning, the man was assaulted in Murroch Avenue, near to its junction with Muir Road.

The injured man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated for facial lacerations.

Detective Sergeant Bruce Fyfe said: “This serious assault was not reported to police at the time, so we are now carrying out a number of enquiries to establish as much detail as possible to progress our investigation.

“I would ask any witnesses or anyone with information to contact us. I would also ask any drivers in that area who have dash-cam footage to get in touch.”
