Man rushed to hospital after stabbing in Ballymun

A young man was rushed to hospital this evening with apparent stab wounds following an incident in Ballymun this evening.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the attack, which took place at 5.40pm on the Shangan Road in Ballymun.

The man, in his 20s, sustained stab injuries and was rushed to hospital.

Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an assault which occurred on the Shangan Road in Ballymun, Co.Dublin this evening, Sunday 5th December 2021.

"The incident occurred at approximately 5.40pm. A male, aged in his 20s, was later to taken to hospital to receive treatment for apparent stab wounds.

"Investigations are ongoing."
