
A man has been stabbed on Brunel University’s campus in west London.
The Met Police were called to Kingston Lane, next to the university in Uxbridge, at around 5.45pm on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.
Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated a man for stab injuries before taking him to hospital.
The Met confirmed that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made and an investigation has been launched into the “isolated incident,” the force explained.
Detectives believe that there is no wider threat to the wider community.
On Wednesday evening, Brunel University posted on X: “We are aware of an incident on campus this evening.
“Our on-site Security Team and staff are working closely with the police as they investigate the situation.
“For reassurance, our Security Team will increase patrols throughout the night.”
The university added that staff were available to support students who were affected by the incident.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 5.49pm yesterday (21 May) to reports of a stabbing in Topping Lane, Uxbridge.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient for several wounds and took him by road to a major trauma centre.”
