Man rushed to hospital after 'stabbing' as cops seal off property in Scots town

A man has been rushed to hospital following a 'stabbing' in Erskine. Police were called to North Barr at around 5pm on Saturday April 8, following reports of a disturbance.

Emergency services attended and a 36-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

Officers are still on the scene as images show them sealing off a two-story property. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Saturday, 8 April, 2023, police were called to the North Barr area of Erskine, following a report of a serious assault.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

"Officers remain in the area and enquiries are ongoing.”
