Man rushed to hospital after 'siege' at Bonnybridge flats

A man has been rushed to hospital after a 'siege' incident within a block of flats in Falkirk.

Emergency services raced to the building on Falkirk Road, Bonnybridge, on Friday afternoon.

A number of cops and paramedics were spotted at the address after reports a person had barricaded themselves in a house.

Police have confirmed that a man has since been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

It's not known if he's suffered any serious injuries. No-one else was involved in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended Falkirk Road in Bonnybridge after reports of concern for a person.

"A man has been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment."
