Man rushed to hospital after 'petrol bomb' attack on house in Co Cork

A man was rushed to hospital after a suspected petrol bomb was thrown into a house in Co Cork.

The incident happened in the Liffey Park area of Mayfield at around 10pm last night.

A small fire broke out inside the home and the man, who put out the flames, was brought to the Mercy University Hospital as a precaution, Cork Beo reports.

Luckily no one sustained any injuries in the attack late last night.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating the incident but at the moment no arrests have been made.
