Man rushed to hospital after 'medical incident' in Clapton-in-Gordano

A man has been taken to hospital after a 'medical incident' in Clapton-in-Gordano.

Police and paramedics raced to Naish Hill just before 6pm on Wednesday evening (November 25).

Drivers were told they should avoid the route as officers have closed the road while the investigate.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: “We were called at 5.50pm to support the ambulance service with traffic management while they dealt with a medical incident in Naish Hill, Clapton-in-Gordano.

“A male has been taken to hospital.

“Officers remain at the scene and the road is currently shut at the junction with Caswell Lane.”

A witness, who wished not to be named, told Bristol Live: "Lots of blue lights - ambulances and police.

"Not sure what has happened."

South Western Ambulance Service has been approached for a comment.
