An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life after a shooting outside Wembley Stadium early on Sunday morning.
Officers raced to Atlantic Crescent around 5.30am, where they discovered the victim and called in a large emergency response.
He was rushed to a major trauma centre, where he remains in a critical condition.
Photos from the scene show a police cordon outside Access Self Storage and near the entrance to Wembley Park. South Way has been blocked off while enquiries are carried out, and officers remain at the scene.
Transport for London said bus route 440 is on diversion due to the incident.
Chief Superintendent Tony Josephs, from the Metropolitan Police, said : “We recognise the shock and impact this incident will have on the community.
"There will be an increased police presence in the local area.
"We’d urge anyone who may know something about this incident, however small it may seem, to please get in touch and let us know.”
