Man rushed to hospital after horror Glasgow attack as cops launch probe

A man has been rushed to hospital following a horror attack in Glasgow.

Emergency services scrambled to the Vaila Street area in the north of the city after the alarm was raised at around 9.30pm on Saturday, May 28.

Officers say they were called to the report of a 'serious assault'.

Ambulance crews attended and the 27-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition is not yet known.

Police say they are following a positive line of enquiry but have asked anyone with information to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30pm on Saturday, May 28, police were called to the Vaila Street area of Glasgow, following a report of the serious assault of a 27-year-old man.

“Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and anyone with information should contact police on 101.”
