Man rushed to hospital after horror crash with lorry on A92

A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious road crash between a car and lorry on the A92 in Glenrothes .

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Bankhead Roundabout at around 5.30pm this evening.

A man was rushed to Ninewells Hospital after being cut from his car.

Fire crews ripped the roof off the red vehicle in a bid to free the injured man.

His condition is currently unknown.

The road still remains closed.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call following a two vehicle crash on Bankhead Roundabout on the A92 Glenrothes at 5.27pm.

"The roof of the car was removed and the injured man was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police were called to a crash involving a car and an articulated lorry on Bankhead Roundabout on the A92 Glenrothes at around 5.25pm."
