Man rushed to hospital after falling off electric scooter in Dublin

A 40-year-old man has been left in serious condition in hospital after an incident in Dublin this morning.

The serious road traffic collision occurred on Herberton Road, Dublin 12, at approximately 8:45 am on Tuesday.

Gardai released a statement in relation to their investigation asking for any witnesses who were in the area to come forward with information.

According to officers, the man was travelling on an electronic scooter and after falling from his vehicle was rushed to St James Hospital where he is understood to be in a serious condition.

The road was closed for a short time earlier in order for Forensic Collision Investigators to technically examine the scene, but it has since been re-opened fully.
