Man rushed to hospital after early morning Bachelor's Walk assault

A young man was rushed to hospital following an early morning assault near Bachelor's Walk.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the attack, which took place just before 4:45am this morning.

The man, in his 20s, was treated at the scene before being brought to the nearby Mater Hospital.

Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardai are investigating the incident and say no arrests have been made yet.

The assault is the latest in a long line of incidents that have taken in place in the area over the past few months.

Two weeks ago, a young man was rushed to hospital after being found by gardai along Bachelors Walk with a deep laceration to his head.

Shocking footage obtained by Dublin Live in June showed a number of brawls breaking out between girl-led gangs who were "fighting every night", while three men were arrested and a number of weapons were seized from their car just last week.

The full garda statement reads: "Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of an assault near the Bachelor’s Walk area of Dublin this morning, 25th September 2021, at approximately 4.45am.

"A man (20s) received injuries following the incident and was taken to Mater Misericordiae Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
