Man rushed to hospital after ‘disturbance’ on Scots street as police probe launched

A man has been rushed to hospital following reports of a disturbance on a street in West Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Stewart Street, Dalmuir, at around 6.30am on Saturday after the alarm was raised.

Police have confirmed that one person has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is not known.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing amid reports of a large police cordon in place.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

A force spokesperson said: "We received a report of a disturbance on Stewart Street, Dalmuir, around 6.30am on Saturday, 25 September.

"Officers arrived at the scene and are currently trying to establish the full circumstances.

"One man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with any information about the incident should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0949 of 25 September."
