Man rushed to hospital after disturbance on Paisley Street

A man was rushed to hospital after a disturbance on a Paisley street earlier today.

Emergency services raced to Neilston Road in the town at around 9.50am following reports of an incident.

One man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Locals reported seeing a number of police cars and an ambulance in attendance.

The area was reportedly cordoned off whilst officers carried out their inquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Friday, 18 September, 2020, we received a report of a disturbance on Neilston Road, Paisley.

“One man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0875 of today."
