Man rushed to hospital after disturbance involving group of youths in Springburn

A man was rushed to hospital following a disturbance involving a group of youths in the Springburn area last night.

The incident happened at around 7pm yesterday on Balgray Road, with emergency services rushing to the scene shortly after. The man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. The full extent of his injuries is not currently known.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A statement from the force reads: "Around 7.05pm on Friday, 22 January, police were called to a disturbance involving a man and a group of youths in Balgrayhill Road, Glasgow. Emergency services attended and the man was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over.

"The group dispersed prior to police arrival and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3078 of Friday, 22 January, 2021."
