Man rushed to hospital after 'disturbance' at property in Scots town

A man has been rushed to hospital after a "disturbance" at a property in Greenock this afternoon.

Emergency services raced to reports of the an incident on Banff Road around 2.05pm on Monday March 28 as police locked down the area.

One man was taken to hospital after the incident and roads surrounding the street later reopened.

Their condition of the circumstances surrounding the incident are not known at this time.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and are at an early stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance at a property on Banff Road in Greenock shortly after 2.05pm on Monday, 28 March.

“One man has been taken to hospital. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and at an early stage.

"Anyone with any information should contact officers via 101 quoting incident number 1607 of 28 March 2022.”
