Stabbing Parkgrove Green: Man rushed to hospital after daylight attack near Barnton

A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing near Barnton.

The 39-year-old was was seriously injured during the incident at Parkgrove Green around 10am this morning.

First reported by Live Edinburgh News, the man sustained sustained stab wounds during the attack.

Police were seen searching a nearby woodland as well as the area surrounding Drumbrae Leisure Centre.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10am on Tuesday, 19 May, officers in Edinburgh were called to reports of a serious assault in the Parkgrove Green area of the city.

“A 39-year-old man suffered serious injury and has been taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Enquires into the circumstances are ongoing.”
