A man has been rushed to hospital after a car crash on a busy road near Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium.
Emergency services descended on Wharfside Way, in Trafford, after being called out at around 11am today (January 4).
Officers closed the road westbound between John Gilbert Way and Village Circle shortly after.
The man did not suffer serious injuries, a spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said.

Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and NWAS were all in attendance at the scene - close to The Quays.

Images from the scene show several firefighters surrounding one of the cars involved in the collision - a white BMW.
The car can be seen with its roof cut off in one of the images.
GMFRS says crews rescued a man from one of the cars before he was taken to hospital.

A GMFRS spokesperson said: "At 11.20am this morning (January 4, 2022), crews were called to a road traffic accident on Wharfside Way involving two vehicles.
"Two fire engines from Moss Side and Agecroft, and a Technical Response Unit from Tameside attended.
"Firefighters worked quickly to make the scene safe and rescue a man from one of the vehicles who was then taken to hospital by NWAS staff.
“Crews supported colleagues from GMP and NWAS and were on the scene for approximately one hour.”
GMP confirmed the collision was 'between two cars' on Wharfside Way and reported 'at around 11am'.
A spokesperson for NWAS added: "One man taken to hospital [with] no major injuries."
The road reopened at around 1pm, Transport for Greater Manchester said.
