Man rushed to hospital after Corsa comes off M56

A 22 -year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries after his car left the M56 in Cheshire.

The Vauxhall Corsa was overtaking a blue Astra when it left the motorway at around 5pm on Saturday ( April 3.)

The accident happened junctions 15 and 16 near Chester.

The driver, a 22-year-old man, was taken to Aintree Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries to his legs.

An i nvestigation into the cause of the collision is underway and officers are today appealing for dash cam footage from members of the public.

PC Karen Mitchell said : “At this stage we know that the silver Vauxhall Corsa was overtaking a blue Vauxhall Astra when it left the carriageway.

“As part of our ongoing enquiries I am encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or may have any information or dash cam footage, to please get in touch.”
