Man rushed to hospital after brutal stabbing in Glasgow park

A man is in hospital after being brutally stabbed in a Glasgow park.

Cops raced to the city's Penilee Park last night after the vicious blade attack around 9pm last night.

The 45-year-old was raced to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

His condition is described as stable by medics after the stabbing.

A probe has now been launched with police seen carrying out searches in the park as the hunt continues for the attacker.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Detectives are investigating a serious assault which occurred around 9pm on Tuesday, 13 July, within Penilee Park, Glasgow.

"A 45-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to a stab wound.

"Medical staff describe his condition as stable. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3654 of Tuesday, 13 July, 2021.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
