Man rushed to hospital after brutal stabbing in Glasgow

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Glasgow last night.

The 41-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

He is currently receiving treatment for stab wounds and medical staff describe his condition as stable.

Police confirmed they were called to reports of a man being attacked in Kestrel Road, Knightswood at around 8.10pm.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.10pm on Saturday 3 October 2020 police were called to a report of a man having been assaulted in Kestrel Road, Knightswood.

"Emergency services attended and a 41 year old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"He is currently receiving treatment for stab wounds and medical staff describe his condition as stable."

Locals reported on social media a huge police presence around Lincoln Avenue and Alderman Road at the time and traffic was diverted from the area.
