Man rushed to hospital after brutal Seville Place stabbing in Dublin city

A man was rushed to hospital after a brutal stabbing in Dublin city this afternoon.

The shocking incident happened on Seville Place, near Talbot Street, at around 4.30pm.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment after the horror attack.

Thankfully, his injuries are being described as non-life threatening.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí in Store Street attended a stabbing incident in Seville Place, Dublin 1 this evening at approximately 4.30pm on Thursday, 28th January, 2021.  

"A man (30s) received stab wounds and was taken to The Mater Hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

"Investigations ongoing."
