Police have confirmed that a man was stabbed on Holbeck Moor last night (Saturday) and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after the incident, which happened just after 9pm on Holbeck Moor off Top Moorside playing fields.
Nearby, the Holbeck Moor Fun Fair was taking place. A 27-year-old was found with serious injuries consistent with stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital via ambulance and remains in a serious but stable condition.
There is a large police cordon in place in the area whilst officers continue with their investigation including forensic examination of the area and CCTV enquiries.
Enhanced high visibility patrols have been deployed in the area to reassure the local residents.
