Man rushed to hospital after being stabbed near Kennington Underground Station

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed near to Kennington Underground Station.

The victim, believed to be in his teens, was knifed in De Laune Street this afternoon.

Police were called shortly after 5pm where they found the victim, who was treated for stab wounds at the scene before being taken to a south London hospital.

Scotland Yard is awaiting an update on his condition.

Officers are making enquiries and no arrests have been made.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Officers attended and a male believed to be in his teens was found with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service and conveyed to a south London hospital. We await an update on his condition at this time."
