Man rushed to hospital after being 'slashed' in Fife house as man arrested

A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was allegedly being slashed at a property in Fife this morning.

Emergency services raced to North Street, Leven, around 11.40am on Friday to reports of a disturbance.

A 41-year-old was taken by ambulance to The Victoria Hospital with serious injuries.

A 33-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Photographs of the scene show a police cordon in place on the street with the road taped off.

Two officers can be seen standing outside the property as a police van and car remain parked on the street.

Locals in the area reported a person had been stabbed.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a property on North Street, Leven, around 11.40am on Friday, 4 June.

"A 41-year-old man has been taken to The Victoria Hospital with serious injuries.

"A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
