Man knocked off scooter in Glasgow street

A man was rushed to hospital after being knocked off his scooter in Glasgow City Centre .

Emergency services rushed to St Vincent Place at its corner with Buchanan Street, at around 12.30pm today after reports of the incident.

No other vehicles were involved.

His injuries are unknown.

The busy road is currently closed.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received reports of an accident on St Vincent Place at around 12.30pm. A man was knocked off his scooter. No other vehicles were involved."

A council traffic statement reads: "Police are now in attendance and have closed St Vincent Place at Queen Street.

"Traffic are being diverted to George Square.

"Please avoid area if possible."
