Man rushed to hospital after being hit by vehicle in Malahide, North Dublin

A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in North Dublin.

The man, 20s, allegedly stepped off a path in front of the vehicle being being hit at around 6pm today.

The incident happened on the Coast Road in Malahide with gardai saying the man suffered not life-threatening injuries.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended a Road traffic collision on the Coast Rd, Malahide Co Dublin today November 20, 2019 at approximately 6pm.

"A pedestrian allegedly stepped out in the path of a passing vehicle.

"The injured party, a man in his 20s was taken to Beaumont Hospital with non life threatening injuries."
