A pedestrian was treated at the scene after being hit by a taxi in Edinburgh.
The cab driver reportedly mounted the pavement on North Castle Street before hitting the man in his 50s at around 1pm.
He has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, but his condition is not yet known.
Emergency crews raced to North Castle Street at around 1pm.
Officers have also sealed off George Street, Queen Street and North Castle Street as they continue to deal with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports a taxi had hit a pedestrian on North Castle Street at around 1pm.
"A man is being treated at the scene by paramedics.
"Officers remain in attendance.
"Road closures are in place."
