Man rushed to hospital after being hit by Dublin Bus in city centre

A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a Dublin Bus in the city centre on Thursday morning.

The man, early 20s, was taken to The Mater Hospital after being hit by the 67 bus on Parkgate St at around 8am.

The man suffered "non-life threatening" injuries while gardai are now investigating the circumstances.

A spokeswoman said: "Gardai are investigating a traffic collision which occurred on Thursday, 3rd October 2019 at approximately 8.00am on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 where a man was involved in a collision with a bus.

"The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

Dublin Bus also confirmed one of their fleet was involved in the incident.

A spokesman said: "Dublin Bus can confirm that an incident involving a Route 68 bus took place on Parkgate Street yesterday morning at approximately 08.00. Emergency services attended the scene and one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
