Man rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Stirling

A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Stirling.

Officers from Police Scotland raced to Stirling Road in Fallin on Saturday afternoon at around 2pm.

As a result of the incident the man was rushed to hospital.

The nature of his injuries and current condition are unknown at this stage.

Cops have cordoned off Stirling Road as they put diversions in place.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.

A spokesperson from Forth Valley Police Division said: "Officers are dealing with an incident on Stirling Road, Fallin, where a man has been struck by a car.

"He has been taken to hospital and the road is currently closed.

"Diversions are being put in place and drivers are asked to avoid the area."
