Man rushed to hospital after being found 'seriously injured' on Scots high street

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was found "seriously injured" on a high street in Fife.

Police were on the scene at High Street, Inverkeithing, at around 4.35pm on Friday, September 17.

Ambulance crews attended and the injured man was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

His condition is not yet known.

Officers make enquiries at the scene (Fife Jammer Locations)

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and police say their enquiries are ongoing.

Pictures taken from the scene show several officers in attendance.

An ambulance can also be seen on street as part of the major emergency operation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.35pm on Friday, September 17, officers were called to a report of a man having been seriously injured on High Street, Inverkeithing.

"Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
