Man rushed to hospital after being found seriously injured in Blairdardie

A man has been found seriously injured after an early morning attack in Blairdardie.

Officers raced to the scene on Great Western Road around 9.20am on Monday morning.

A 41-year-old man has found seriously injuredA and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and investigations are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20am on Monday, August 31, we received reports of man seriously injured on Great Western Road, Glasgow.

“A 41-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Officers have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the incident and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing."
