Man rushed to hospital after being found lying seriously injured in Scots street

Police have launched an appeal after a man was left seriously injured in Stirling.

Around 8.30am this morning officers were called to Clark Street in Stirling where a 46-year-old man was found lying on the road.

The man was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he was treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.

An investigation has now been launched into the incident and police are asking witnesses to come forward.

Detective Sergeant William Harley, of Police Scotland’s Stirling CID, said: “Detectives are currently carrying out enquiries in the Clark Street and surrounding area to establish how this man has suffered these injuries.

“I would ask if you were in the area at the time of the incident or have any information that could assist with our investigation that you come forward and speak to officers.

“I am also appealing to any motorists with possible daschcam footage that may be able to help us with our enquiries.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0519 of Tuesday, 27 April, 2021.

“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given anonymously.”
