Man rushed to hospital after being found injured near Scots retail park

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found injured near a Scots retail park on Sunday morning.

Emergency services raced to the Palace Grounds in Hamilton at around 6.20am this morning after cops received a report a 23-year-old man was injured in the area.

The man was rushed to hospital for treatment and currently remains there.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known as officers have launched a probe into the incident, with enquiries remaining ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.20am, on Sunday 27 February, 2022, police received a report a 23-year-old man was injured in Palace Grounds, Hamilton.

"The man is being treated in hospital and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
