Man rushed to hospital after being found injured in Springburn

A man as been rushed to hospital after being found injured in the north of Glasgow.

Officers were called out after receiving reports at around 5.30pm today that a man was injured on Hawthorn Street in the Springburn area.

He was then taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police Scotland confirmed that "enquiries are continuing".

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "At around 5:20pm police were called to a report of that a man had been found injured on Hawthorn Street in Springburn.

"The man was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital .

"There are no details of his injuries.

"Enquiries are continuing."
