Man rushed to hospital after being found injured in Glasgow street

A man was rushed to hospital after being found injured in a Glasgow street.

Cops raced to Western Road in Cambuslang at around 9pm on Friday night, September 3.

The alarm was raised after a man was found injured on the road.

One concerned local reported seeing at least three police cars and an ambulance at the scene last night.

The extent of the man's injuries are not known but he was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police have now launched a probe to investigate the full circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man found injured on Western Road in Cambuslang around 9.15pm on Friday, 3 September.

“The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
