Man rushed to hospital after being attacked in Glasgow

A man has been rushed to hospital after being assaulted in Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to the scene on Haywood Street in the Milton area of the city on Wednesday, May 13 at around 8.50pm.

A 39-year-old man was subsequently rushed by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary following the incident.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information to contact them which could assist them with their investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 8.50pm on Wednesday, 13 May, to a report of an assault in the Haywood Street area, Milton, Glasgow.

"A 39-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

"Anyone with information that can help officers with their investigation should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3764 of the 13 May, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
