Man rushed to hospital after being assaulted in city centre

A man was rushed to hospital after being attacked in the city centre yesterday.

Police were called to the scene on Bath Street, near to Douglas Street at around 4:35pm.

An eyewitness told Glasgow Live officers and passers-by assisted the 21-year-old, who was taken to the Royal Infirmary where he was "treated for non-life threatening injuries."

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers were called to reports of an assault on Bath Street around 4.35pm on Tuesday, 3 December, 2019.

“A 21-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“Enquires into the incident are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2470 of 3 December or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
