Man rushed to hospital after apparent stabbing in Co Carlow

A young man was rushed to hospital on Thursday night after an alleged assault in Carlow.

The man, aged in his 30s, is believed to have suffered stab wounds at a house in Rathvilly.

Gardai were called to the scene and the man was rushed to hospital where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

No arrests have yet been made and investigations are ongoing.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended the scene of an assault that occurred in the late hours of Thursday, 5 November, 2020.

"A male in his thirties was conveyed to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny for non-life threatening injuries.

"There have been no arrests at this time."
