Man rushed to Glasgow hospital as police close off Springburn road

Emergency services have closed off a road in Springburn after a man was rushed to hospital.

Police have closed Petershill Road between Edgefauld Road and Hobden Street as the Scottish Ambulance Service treated a man who had taken unwell at around 11am.

Ambulance teams rushed the individual to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The condition of the man is currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11 am on Tuesday, 16 May 2023, police attended to assist with road closures following a call from Scottish Ambulance Service colleagues who were dealing with a man who had taken unwell on Petershill Road, Springburn, Glasgow. He has been taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

"Petershill Road is closed between Edgefauld Road and Hobden Street, Springburn, Glasgow."
