A 29-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a serious incident in the South Side of Glasgow.
Officers were seen guarding Pollokshaws Road as the area was cordoned off, with a helicopter spotted circling above. Following the incident within Queen's Park, the entire area was on lockdown yesterday evening.
Glasgow police received reports of an alleged disturbance at around 6pm on Monday, April 3, with emergency crew rushing to the South Side of the city.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Officers said a report would be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police Scotland have not yet confirmed the nature of the incident and the condition of the 29 year-old man is unknown.
An urgent investigation has been launched with police appealing for any information or dashcam footage which may be able to help with their ongoing enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Monday, April 3, officers received a report of a disturbance at Queen’s Park, Glasgow. A 29-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2734 of April 3, 2023."
