Man running from cannabis factory in Bristol is caught by police

A major police operation has been taking place in Horfield all day on Friday, following the discovery of a large cannabis factory in a residential house.

Officers attended a house in Wellington Hill, Horfield, at 11.30am, and discovered a sophisticated factory growing with around 160 plants inside.

One arrest was made by police, and there was a large police presence in the area, which is just across Gloucester Road from the Memorial Stadium, all day and into Friday evening.

“A man ran out of the property and was later arrested,” said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police.

“A 27-year-old man is currently in custody on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cannabis production,” he added.

“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing,” he added.
