Man robbed on Crow Road by thugs brandishing knife as Glasgow police launch search

A man was threatened with a knife and robbed by two thugs on Crow Road in the heart of Glasgow's west end.

Police are appealing for information following the shock incident which took place at around 5.45am on Thursday morning.

After brandishing the knife and demanding money and property from the 30-year-old, the duo fled in the direction of Broomhill Drive.

The victim has been left badly shaken by the incident, but thankfully uninjured.

Police have issued descriptions of the suspects and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

A Police Scotland statement published this morning advises: "An investigation is under way after a man was robbed in Glasgow on Thursday, 7 October, 2021.

"Around 5.45am, a 30-year-old man was in Crow Road, near Broomhill Drive, when he was approached by two men, who threatened him with a knife and demanded money and property from him. Following the robbery, the men ran off towards Broomhill Drive.

"The 30-year-old man was uninjured but has been left badly shaken by the incident.

"Both suspects are white, around 5 ft. 11 inches in height and are in their mid-twenties. One had blond hair and was wearing a green hooded top and dark coloured trousers. The other had short brown hair, with a blue/red hooded top and dark coloured trousers.

"Detectives are gathering a number of CCTV images for review for more information on the suspects."

Detective Constable Joe Keith said: "I’m confident we will be able to identify these two men, however, I would still like to ask the public for their help. If you were in that area yesterday morning, please think back, did you see anything, did you see the two men run off. Any small piece of information could assist us, so please do pass it on."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 0395 of 7 October, 2021. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed on anonymously.
