Man riding mobility scooter rushed to hospital after being hit by car on Scots road

A man riding a mobility scooter was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a Scots road.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on West Canal Street in Coatbridge at around 1pm on Friday, November 5.

A man, who had been riding a mobility scooter at the time, was struck by a car.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a car and a mobility scooter on West Canal Street in Coatbridge shortly after 1.15pm on Friday, 5 November.

“The male rider of the mobility scooter has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
