Man rescued from flat fire in St George

A man was rescued after a fire at his home in St George.

Two crews of firefighters from Kingswood and one from Temple attended the fire in the kitchen of a flat on Nags Head Hill at just gone 1am today. (June 29, 2019)

The man was helped out as firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with the incident.

Other than that it was a relatively quiet evening for Avon Fire and Rescue Service.

  • At just gone 5pm yesterday two fire crews from Weston-super-Mare dealt with a shed fire in Herluin Way, Weston.
  • At 11.30pm yesterday a fire crew from Temple dealt with a scooter on fire in Thomas Way, Stapleton. The machine was completely destroyed.
