Man rescued from clothes donation box in Chicago

CHICAGO _ Fire crews rescued a man who got trapped in a clothing donation box early Thursday on Chicago's Near North Side, officials said.

The firefighters pulled the man from the green donation box around 3:50 a.m., a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said. The man was not injured.

The box, which stands about six feet tall and several feet wide, is located on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of North LaSalle Boulevard in the Near North neighborhood.

It was not immediately clear why the man was inside it.
