His family has been informed.

Police enquiries into the death are at an early stage however there are not believed to be "any suspicious circumstances".

A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

Worried friends and family of William launched a desperate appeal to trace him earlier this week.

He was reported missing after he was last seen in the Tulloch area of Perth in the middle of last week.

Posting a social media appeal, William's mum said: "My son William Stevenson has been missing from the Tulluch area in Perth. "Last seen Wednesday/Thursday morning on the 16/17th of Feb.
