Man repeatedly stabbed in Maryhill flat block attack

A man is in serious condition in hospital after being repeatedly stabbed in a north Glasgow flat block.

The 53-year-old victim was attacked on Sunday evening, reports The Sun , with the alarm raised around 7.40pm.

Police Scotland say they are treating the incident, which happened at a block of flats in Balfour Street, Maryhill, as attempted murder.

A spokeswoman said: “At around 7.40pm on Sunday, May 26, a 53-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed after being attacked within the common close of a block of flats in Balfour Street, Maryhill.

“He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

“The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.”
