Man remains 'critical' in hospital after A38 crash near Bristol Airport

A man remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a crash on the A38 near Bristol Airport.

The driver of a silver VW Golf suffered serious head injuries during the smash in Winscombe, at 10.55pm on Saturday, June 13.

Officers shut the road, just south of the airport, for several hours following the collision, reports Somerset Live.

Avon and Somerset Police has now launched an investigation and are keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage.

A force spokesman said: "We’re seeking witnesses to a single-car road traffic collision, involving a silver Volkswagen Golf estate, on the A38.

"The accident happened at about 10.55pm on Saturday, June 13, in Bristol Road in Winscombe."
