Gardai have released one of the men who was arrested yesterday in relation to the murder of Keane Mulready Woods.
The man, in his early 20s, was released without charge tonight and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The 17-year-old was brutally tortured, murdered and dismembered after he was abducted in the Ballsgriove area of Co Louth in a brutal killing that horrified the nation in January.
Parts of the teen's body were found by a group of teenagers inside a black sports bag thrown from a car at Moatview Drive in Darndale.
Two days later, his severed head was found in a burning car on Trinity Terrace just off Clonliffe Road in Drumcondra. His torso has never been recovered.
The second man, also in his early 20s, remains in Garda custody at Dundalk Garda station.
Another man, in his 40s, that was arrested on Tuesday morning 8th December 2020 remains in Garda custody at Drogheda Garda station.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Investigations ongoing."
